No.1 Window Display

We have been thinking about the new window display heading towards the Jubilee weekend for some time now. But we never imagined it could look this good.

Many thanks to Shannon Cree from Headmasters (also on Clemens Street). This display now looks awesome!

As you well know we have 2 windows and the other one is in progress but why not come down and have a look at the vintage themed window display.

Items in the window included items from Pashley, Brompton, Raleigh and Brooks.

This made me laugh. I have never tried riding a bike in water this deep but i imagine is wasnt easy...

This is classic UK drought weather. ;-)

Also, how do they know he was riding on a footpath?..

Well that sums up April really but this was Wednesday's weather:

Cheered me up anyway. More of that please.

So what do we all think of 650B?

Because 559 and 622 isn't enough..

Its a bit decision these days choosing the wheel size of your bike and its not to be taken light-heartedly. Although more and more people are making these different parts, it can still be difficult to find a shop when you are in the middle of nowhere that supports the 'new' sizes. Of course there have been dabbles with the non 26" wheels in the past and some of them are only just becoming popular. 29ers are a prime example. They have come and gone and now they are back to stay. The great thing about all this is that you have the choice. I cant see the 650B craze kicking off properly for another couple of years but its coming...

This is a great illustration from http://www.justridingalong.com

There is also an interesting timeline and more information here:

For more information on wheel sizes or if you are looking to upgrade you need to come and have a chat with us in store. We can talk you through the different options and we are here to help. Feel free to call also, on 01926 430211

Custom Yeti 575 Anniversary. Yummy!

Its a Marmite bike I think but I can safely say I think it looks great!

This is a modern bike with a retro theme and it is very brave to try and get the yellows and the blues to mach from all the different suppliers. Again, I think it looks spot on!

With only 250 of these frames being made you may never see one of these out and about but you will certainly know if you see this one! :-)

Products from:
Yeti,
Fox,
Blackspire,
Hope,
Magura,
Chris King,
Nukeproof,
Continental,
Race Face.

For more information on our servicing or custom builds please call on 01926 430211

Remember, you don't need to start from a bare frame to get a custom bike. We can order factory bikes and change the parts to make your perfect bike!

Custom Colnago Master X-Lite.

This is beautiful.

Custom Spec-ed and built here in store!

This bike has all sorts of lovely polished goodies hanging off it, where do we start??

Well lets start with the frame and fork. As to be expected with the Master, formed tubing and chrome lugs with hand pained gold detailing and the same can be said for the fork. Wheels where hand built in store. Chris King hubs on DT spokes and Halo polished rim. Classic looks with modern strength and performance. Stem, bars and seatpost from Ritchey's Classic Range. Again giving a quality, modern aspect to the bike. Silver Campagnolo parts finish the build with the retro feel.

This bike can stand next to retro bikes and fit in a treat. All new and nothing that will be difficult to replace or outdated.

There are soooooo many little details on this bike I am sure there will be some people looking at these pictures for a while.. :-)

Any more information on custom builds, restorations or any other servicing inquiries call on 01926 430211

Could these make it to bikes?

Or have they already? Have I missed it?

It looks like a tidy idea but I would like to know what they do to the handling of the vehicle.. I am sure twisting the 'tyre' will not do it any good.

Anyway, look cool if nothing else ;-)

These should be standard on bikes these days!

I think we need more wine and more bikes!

I am sure this idea can be adapted for bottles of cherry-ade for the young'uns.

Fact of the day: Most cats are left pawed..
